What is Behavioral Health
Behavioral Health refers to mental health and substance use disorders. Behavioral Health includes the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that affect your overall wellbeing. Behavioral Health looks beyond the absence of mental illness and aims to promote optimal psychological functioning and overall wellness.
Vision Statement
The MPCM Behavioral Health Ministry’s vision is to foster supportive mental, emotional, and spiritual health by integrating the mind, body, and spirit to enhance wellness.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote wholeness by ministering to people of all ages about spiritual and emotional health and our goal is to let the world know about the healing presence of God in our lives. This will be accomplished by facilitating psychoeducational informational sessions, providing mental health, substance misuse, problem gambling, and spiritual resources; testimonials and prayer.
When does the MPCM Behavioral Health Ministries meet…
The Behavioral Health Ministry meetings are variable. On average we have approximately six sessions a year (1 session a month). Most of the psychoeducation sessions we provide are virtual and are streamed live through the MPCM YouTube channel. We provide at least 1-2 live sessions (held at the church) a year.
The ministry has a planning meeting at the beginning of the year to outline what months and topics we will discuss throughout the year. We meet 1-2 times during the month that we provide a psychoeducational session for planning.
Why We Need You…
Our ministry has a passion for serving God’s people. We believe that God wants us to be whole and live our best lives according to HIS word. We need you to partner with us #MPCMcares. The Behavioral Health Ministry: Bringing health, hope and healing.
