The Voices of Mount Pleasant Mass Choir

The Mount Pleasant Mass Choir is Mount Pleasant’s main choir. Their styles include traditional and contemporary gospel and anthems and Christian contemporary music. The choir sings on the first two Sundays every month and regularly rehearses on Tuesdays and Thursdays before those Sundays at 7:00 pm. In addition, they sing for our Easter and Christmas productions as well as other church holidays. All choirs require an audition. Please contact Tedde Gibson at TGibson@MountPleasant.org.

Praise Team

The Praise Team is a smaller ensemble of 8-12 singers who lead praise and worship during each service. They lead the service on the 3rd Sunday of every month and rehearse the Tuesday and Thursday before the 3rd Sunday. This is an auditioned ensemble led by Lisa Hankerson. They are a part of the Voices of Mount Pleasant Mass Choir and rehearse with them regularly.

Youth Ensemble

The Youth Ensemble is made up of High School students. This ministry allows the youth to develop musical talents, build camaraderie, and deepen their faith while leading worship. Our elite ensemble of pre-K through middle school singers is being trained to worship our Lord in song. They sing on the 4th Sunday and other special occasions. They rehearse on Thursdays at 6:00 pm. For more information, please contact Chavallé Dorsey at CDorsey@MountPleasant.org.

Drama Ministry

The Drama Ministry ministers the Word of God in a refreshing, powerful, and theatrical way. This auditioned ensemble seeks to evangelize through timely vignettes throughout the church calendar year and through our Easter and Christmas plays. Towdah Dance Ministry and Pageantry

The Towdah Dance Ministry and Pageantry work together to glorify God through movement. They work with the Music Ministry to interpret praise and worship through movement. Pageantry uses banners, flags, and streamers to worship our God. The Dance Ministry, though primarily comprised of women, is not limited to men. Men are encouraged to participate. Handbell Choir

This ministry uses our handbells to worship God in music with our Malmark handbells and performs seasonally. It is an auditioned choir. Sight-reading music is a plus for this ministry. Tedde Gibson is the Director and can be reached at TGibson@MountPleasant.org

Vocal Choir/ Silver Vocaliers
